Amy

An award-winning licensed esthetician, Amy Halman has specialized in targeted, organic treatments and natural hair removal for over a decade. However, her passion for skincare began in her early 20s after struggling with aggressive cystic acne and severe adrenal fatigue, which not only taxed her immune system but also wreaked havoc on her hormone balance. The experience was devastating—painful, embarrassing, and stressful—especially as a college student.
Doctor after doctor recommended antibiotics, endocrine drugs, and Accutane—treatments that only addressed symptoms without providing answers or true healing. Through regular skin treatments, nutritional changes, and years of trial and error, her skin and body slowly began to recover, sparking a deep desire to share that knowledge with others. In 2005, Amy obtained a certification in Esthetics from the Aveda Institute of Chicago and went on to be named “Best Esthetician in Chicago” by Chicago Magazine in 2009. The following year, Allure Magazine nationally recognized her work as offering the “Best Facial Treatment in Chicago.”
Seeking greater ways to utilize her training, Amy worked with companies known for their integrity in product selection and commitment to supporting local vendors, farmers, and sustainability efforts. This experience provided expertise in over 80 body care lines and 150+ herbal, nutritional, and supplement brands, expanding her knowledge of ingredients and holistic nutrition. It also reinforced the importance of reducing environmental impact and embracing a more conscious lifestyle.
In 2011, Amy became Vice President of Product Development and Brand Esthetician for ACURE, traveling the country to increase brand awareness while educating audiences on the impact of toxic chemicals on the skin, body, and planet. This role led to direct involvement in concept creation for new products, with a focus on cutting-edge natural technology and responsible manufacturing practices. Her contributions helped design high-performance products that were both safe for the body and sustainable for the planet. Promoted to President in 2012, Amy oversaw ACURE’s rapid expansion, culminating in prestigious beauty awards such as Allure’s Best of Beauty in both 2015 and 2016.
Now back in her home state of Texas, Amy has combined a diverse background, passion for natural, targeted treatments, and a love for building individual client connections into EcoBlend Therapies. Her mission is to integrate a conscious connection to the body and planet into everyday living through education, healing touch, and customized natural treatments. In a world that is overstimulated, increasingly disconnected, and held to impossible standards, she believes that reconnecting with one’s body is the key to revitalization and self-optimization. When individuals feel good, they create good in the world. When they treat themselves with respect, their capacity to respect the world around them grows. Through EcoBlend Therapies, Amy is dedicated to helping others on their journey to wellness.

"This is staggering information, but up until very recently I had NEVER had a facial before. *GASP* I know. I've done massages, but that's about it. Amy, from Ecoblend Therapies, emailed me and asked if I'd like to come in and I jumped at the opportunity. If you're looking for the best facial in Dallas, Amy is your girl. She doesn't JUST give you the facial, but provides an education on how to really care for your skin and skin type." -Sarah

"Halman is at the forefront of the merging of health and beauty at EcoBlend Therapies, a tiny contemplative oasis in Dallas. Clients introduce themselves to Halman through an intake form covering diet, stress levels and more — and the consultation doesn’t end there. She inquires about habits and well-being once they’re on the treatment bed.. " - Rachel Brown

"My personal struggle with a devastating and alienating skin condition opened my eyes to true healing, inside and out. Now, I not only commit myself to the creation of clean, nutritional-based personal care, but tirelessly educate on its importance. Real beauty is compassion for the body and how it works. There is no better feeling than empowering people with the knowledge and awareness to make impactful choices for themselves."

"Sometimes we love an aesthetician more for what she doesn’t do - namely, talk too much, sell, judge, or prey on facial flaws. Amy Halman, an aesthetician and massage therapist at Ruby Room, has just the right touch. She’s involved with her clients, calling to follow up, asking about diet or stress, and analyzing your skin but in a caring, helpful, never pushy way. Not to mention that she’s solved many a skin crisis, says one convert, who claims she tried facials all over the city before becoming a regular. But beyond her soothing, connected presence, Halman’s customized Arcona (a paraben-free skin care line) facials speak for themselves. "

"Our skin had been going bananas lately - scaly patches, dullness, pimples - but we were skeptical that a facial comprised of fruity, nature-based products would be enough to cure it. Halman began with a coconut-milk cleanser, and then applied a cranberry-enzyme peel, which she said would draw gunk from our skin without irritating it. While the peel sunk in, she treated us to a delicious neck-and-shoulder rub. Next came several anti-oxidant-packed serums and a moisturizing mask. The sweetest part: We walked out with healthy radiance that lasted for days. Arcona Facial, $100 and up."

"One of the most cherished items in a well-rounded skin care regimen is a great exfoliant. Scrubs, peels, enzyme treatments – anything to help us shed the old and bring on the new, more youthful “you.” As a matter of fact, people go so crazy for exfoliating that it can become an overzealous, sometimes even harmful, obsession."
